31 Day Book of Mormon Challenge

With the new year approaching, I (along with the rest of you I’m sure) have been pondering goals. I knew this year I wanted my goals to be mostly spiritual. Since having Jude, while I feel closer to God in a lot of ways, I also feel I have distanced myself from Him. I have been overwhelmed with the new task of being a full-time Mom, and because of this I have neglected to do the little things daily that I need to do to maintain my relationship with my Heavenly Father. I haven’t been praying like I should, haven’t been reading my scriptures like I should, and haven’t even really been able to receive spiritual insight while at church because I am busy walking baby around the hallways! So, I really wanted to kick off the new year with a huge commitment to regain the relationship I once had with God. And what better way to do that than really focus on reading His writing, the Book of Mormon. So maybe I’m being a little drastic here, but I have decided I am going to read the entire Book of Mormon during the month of January, and I am also going to faithfully record my thoughts about reading every single day. I suppose I could call it a scripture journal. And, because I know that we can accomplish our goals better if we work together, I’m hoping some of you will join me on this!

So who is in?! The way I envision it, we will keep each other updated daily on our progress. We will share spiritual insights we had and really keep each other accountable.  Because if we even get just a day behind, we’ll have a lot of catching up to do! I will be creating a Facebook group for this challenge, so please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you would like to be added to the group! Here is a breakdown of what the schedule will look like. Don’t let it scare you! It amounts to about 17 pages of reading a day, which is completely and totally doable!
